Welcome back to the ice. Surviving the blinding blizzards of E.D.N. III requires more than just a quick trigger finger; it demands tactical precision. Lost Planet: Extreme Condition throws some of the most intimidating boss fights of the HD era at you, blending towering alien monstrosities with heavily armored mechs.

Before we dive into the specific targets, let us establish the golden rule of this frozen rock: Always watch your Thermal Energy (T-ENG). Every boss fight is a ticking clock. If your orange gauge hits zero, you freeze to death. You cannot afford to play defensively. You must stay aggressive, shoot glowing weak points to extract T-ENG, and keep your suit powered up.

Here is your classified dossier on every final mission boss, detailing their mechanics, critical weak points, and the best ways to dismantle them.

Mission 1: Godon (The Roller)

  • The Threat: This massive, armored Akrid resembles a giant, spiky armadillo. It attacks by curling into a ball and rolling at high speeds across the arena, trying to flatten you.
  • Weak Points: Its glowing orange tail.
  • Arsenal & Strategy: Do not fight this on foot if you can avoid it. There is a Vital Suit (VS) on the left side of the arena. Jump into it and equip dual Gatling guns. Use the VS's jump thrusters to hover over Godon when it rolls toward you, then turn around and pour fire into its tail.

Mission 2: GTB-22CC (Heavy Tank VS)

  • The Threat: Your first major encounter with NEVEC's military hardware. This is a heavily armored, bipedal mech that guards the warehouse exit. It relies on heavy artillery and sweeping machine-gun fire.
  • Weak Points: The joints of its legs and the pilot's canopy.
  • Arsenal & Strategy: Rockets are your best friend here. While you can fight it on foot using the grappling hook to dodge its rockets, bringing your own VS into this arena makes it a fair fight. Strafe constantly and aim for the knees to stagger it.

Mission 3: GTF-11i (Basil’s Crimson VS)

  • The Threat: Basil is an ice pirate leader, and his customized red VS is incredibly agile. Unlike the previous tank, Basil will boost around the arena, easily dodging slow projectiles.
  • Weak Points: The central chassis.
  • Arsenal & Strategy: Leave the Rocket Launcher behind; Basil is too fast, and you will waste ammo. Equip a Laser Vulcan or standard Gatling guns. Wait for him to land after a boost jump, or wait for him to pause to fire his own heavy laser, then unleash a sustained barrage.

Mission 4: Raibeon

  • The Threat: A massive, airborne moth/worm hybrid Akrid that commands the skies over the mountain peaks. It drops explosive projectiles and tries to sweep you off the icy platforms.
  • Weak Points: The glowing sacs on its underbelly and tail.
  • Arsenal & Strategy: Mobility is key. You absolutely need a VS with jump capabilities here to avoid falling off the cliff edges. Homing Lasers are fantastic for tracking it through the air. Keep your crosshairs glued to its glowing abdomen.

Mission 5: The Queen

  • The Threat: A gargantuan, wasp-like hive queen. She throws massive boulders of ice at you and constantly spawns smaller Akrid minions to swarm your position.
  • Weak Points: The massive, pulsating orange sac on her rear abdomen.
  • Arsenal & Strategy: The minions she spawns are actually a blessing—kill them quickly to replenish your T-ENG. Use the Rocket Launcher for massive burst damage against her egg sac. A VS is highly recommended here to tank the splash damage from her ice boulders.

Mission 6: Green Eye

  • The Threat: The legendary Category-G Akrid that killed Wayne's father. This massive, armored quadruped beast will charge you, swipe with massive claws, and fire devastating ice blasts.
  • Weak Points: The glowing green "eyes" located on its head and along its flanks.
  • Arsenal & Strategy: You are provided with a heavily armed snow-crawler VS for this epic encounter. You must destroy the green nodes on its sides first. Once the side nodes are shattered, the main core on its forehead will open. Unleash everything you have into the exposed core.

Mission 7: GAB-25M & Mission 8: GAB-25DM

  • The Threat: Missions 7 and 8 culminate in fights against NEVEC's spider-like heavy artillery mechs. They are incredibly tanky, feature thick front plating, and fire devastating laser cannons.
  • Weak Points: The mechanical joints on their legs.
  • Arsenal & Strategy: A head-on assault is suicide. Use your own VS to flank them. Concentrate your fire on one leg joint at a time. Breaking a leg will cause the massive mech to collapse momentarily, exposing its top chassis for a barrage of rockets or heavy lasers.

Mission 9: Tencale

  • The Threat: A terrifying, colossal spider-tentacle Akrid that emerges from the thermal energy deposit. It attacks by slamming its massive tentacles down and firing freezing blasts that can instantly lock up your VS.
  • Weak Points: The tips of its tentacles and the massive glowing core on its main body.
  • Arsenal & Strategy: You must sever the tentacles first. A shotgun (if on foot) or Gatling guns (in a VS) will quickly blast the tips off when it slams them down. Once enough tentacles are destroyed, it will expose its central core.

Mission 10: Saizarod & Bandero’s VS

  • The Threat: A brutal two-part finale. First, you fight Saizarod, a highly aggressive tentacle Akrid. Immediately after, you face NEVEC Commander Bandero in his elite PTX-40A-2 mech.
  • Weak Points: Saizarod's glowing core; Bandero's cockpit.
  • Arsenal & Strategy: For Saizarod, keep moving and use rockets on its exposed core. For Bandero, you must use the prototype PTX-140 VS provided in the arena. Bandero is shielded and heavily armed. Use your VS's mobility to dodge his laser sweeps, close the distance, and hit him with heavy melee attacks or the Laser Vulcan.

Mission 11: Dennis Isenberg (DBS-000XM)

  • The Threat: The grand finale. This fight takes place in the sky/low orbit. You are piloting a fully unlocked, flying Vital Suit, and Isenberg is piloting a massive, heavily shielded NEVEC super-mech.
  • Weak Points: Isenberg has an impenetrable energy shield. He is only vulnerable for a split second right before he attacks.
  • Arsenal & Strategy: This is a duel of reflexes. Your primary weapons are the Laser Vulcan and the EMF Energy Blade. Do not waste T-ENG firing at his shield. Wait for him to charge his massive laser or drop his shield to deploy drones. The moment the shield flickers off, dash in and unleash a devastating melee combo with the EMF Blade. Keep an eye on your T-ENG gauge, as flying drains it rapidly!
